Coping with COVID-19 & Coping with Change
Time to be kind! Time to be Compassionate!
I woke up Saturday morning and felt good about surviving Friday the 13th!
I was hoping that the Coronavirus outbreak was a science fiction nightmare I dreamt. It is a reality!!
Scientists and leaders say
  • The outbreak will get worse before it gets better
  • Sleep, Rest, Move (Exercise), Connect
  • Avoid social gatherings (Schools, Sporting Events, Worship Places and more)\
Many relatives and friends are either cancelling or postponing trips, some even stuck somewhere in faraway places and hoping they can get home sooner than later.

What do I say?
  • Keep hope alive
  • Stay calm and positive
  • Practice social distancing
  • Wash your hands with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds!
  • Protect the most vulnerable among us
  • Stay informed

Reach out and touch someone!

If you are like me and have loved ones and friends all over the globe, you are certainly concerned for their safety. This is the time to reach out, connect and spread some love, optimism and compassion. Prayers bring peace and elevate hope. This is not the time to point fingers, judge or criticize. We are all humans and need each other to make this world a safer place for all. Let’s all do our share to make it less hard on all of us. Let’s help each other.
Let’s not be selfish or indulge in self-pity. Historians will write about this outbreak. Authors will write many books about this period. I am recording these events for my own documentation sharing my state of mine at the moment.
I share my own current state of mind as this microscopic entity has disrupted, is disrupting and will disrupt our “normal lives” for a while longer. How we cope with the outbreak and persevere will determine how we survive. Because this also shall pass. Let us not give in to this natural germ-like warfare by manifesting our human fear and surrender. The state of mind, the reaction and the behavior we exhibit can be more damaging to our way of life than the virus itself. It is our choice. The decisions we make today will determine the consequences we, as human beings, will live with tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. I pray we make the proper choice and the right decisions

It is Saturday March 14, 2020
I survived Friday the 13th. The Coronavirus crisis is becoming more intense and creating all sorts of reactions from people all over the world. It is like watching a science fiction movie playing in front of us and we are the extra characters in the middle of it. Except It is not a movie. It is reality. Books will be written about this period. Historians will make sure our grandchildren and their children and the many generations to come will read about this period 2020 in the history books. Provided that this virus does not wipe us all from this earth.

...Is it really a virus we are dealing with or something else? Authors have written about this before. Predictions about this were revealed in many publications about disasters like this one.
Sometime we experience disasters in a city or town (Hurricanes, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, fires, floods...) and the crisis is limited to the area. This outbreak is hitting the whole world all at once. As some scientists claim, the outbreak will get worse before it gets better! Where are we now? It hasn’t been 4 months yet since the news about this virus began spreading from China to South Korea, to Italy to the USA and to many other countries around the globe. This crisis is interfering with the lives of rich and poor, celebrities and politicians and ordinary folks, male and female, black and white and brown and all colors in between. We hear that the elderly and especially those with a compromised immune system are more at risk. They are the most vulnerable among us. Schools are closing. Sports events are cancelled. Social gathering are banned or not recommended. This also shall pass.
What is next?
Keep hope alive
Stay tuned.
